The Garden Project is a program that hires mentors, those with Special needs and At Risk Youth to take care of the gardens at The Agape Haus Music Studio. Garden seeds are picked and saved, bulbs are planted, flowers are picked for bouquets and the Community Garden is maintained. We believe that mental health and well being start first in the garden. A basic desire to beautify the world around us....one human soul and a little garden at a time.
Garden Helpers are composed of mentors, at-risk teenagers and those with special needs. Studies show the great benefits of nature and mental health and well being. Garden Helpers are paid to work the Gardens and through generous grants and donations. All bulbs sold through heirloombulbgirl go directly into The Garden Project.
Known throughout Texas Garden circles, Heirloombulbgirl has given classes at almost every major garden shop in the Hill Country, including The Natural Gardener in Austin. Keenan is known for her bulb hunting story telling, her informative classes and her unique love of Heirloom bulbs. To book Heirloombulbgirl as a speaker, please email firstname.lastname@example.org
One of the few infallible rules of gardening is that no garden can have too many bulbs. Splurge. It is the only way.
