A business that’s not a business…..
It’s more like a gardening charity ward. Saving heirloom bulbs from my own garden.
I’ve spent the last few days digging like a maniac. The weather has been great, so outside I’ve been. There are SO MANY bulbs in the flooded house garden. It’s truly hard to explain the massive amount left to dig. But here is a bit of perspective…..
In the last few days, my gardens gave away hundreds of Oxblood Lilies, 100 Star of Bethlehem, countless Iris and clumps of Oxalis, 50 Sternbergia, Daylilies, Grape Hyacinths, Large Crinum….and we barely touched the surface.
A business that’s not a business.
Leave it to God to create such a crazy thing…..
So, today, I will be digging with Tristan, my Garden Helper with Autism. I am surprising him with a crisp $100 bill. I’m pre-paying him today. I thought a big bill would be fun for him to have. We will be planting more bulbs I’ve dug in the last week, and probably laughing about the way the chickens follow him everywhere he goes. Life is good. I’m grateful to provide a place for kids, like Tristan, to work.
