The Llano Art Studio Tour is Saturday, March 30th from 10 am-5 pm. I am very proud to announce that The Agape Haus was asked to be a part of the tour.
The Agape Haus is an old farmhouse that was converted into a music studio 3 years ago. Since that time, the old delapitated drug house next door was purchased and torn down, just to save a tree. The beautiful 300 year old tree is now lovingly surrounded by Oxblood Lilies and Paperwhites. There is a rustic potting shed that was built with old wood from the torn down house. Plans for The Garden Project continue and gardens are being dug and tended to daily.
The four lots have been transformed into an Heirloom Bulb lover’s paradise. Thanks to the flooded house gardens, the studio has benefited greatly from the influx of flower bulbs, natives and roses. The property now has over 20 Antique Rose Bushes from the Antique Rose Emporium. Poppies, Larkspur and other wildflowers grace the gardens, as you walk through little patgs to take take violin lessons. Inspiration for a child is the motivation for everything that happens at the studio.
The Agape Haus is also home to a collection of Antique Violin music, dating back to the late 1800’s. The violin sheet music was handed down from my violin teacher, Barbara Porbe. The music came from her teacher, famed violin soloist of the early 20th Century, Vera Bartow. All music contains violin training handed down has a lineage that can be traced back to Corelli.
The Agape Haus is an eclectic studio, full of a whimsical vintage vibe. The studio is complete with a farmhouse sink, hardwood floors, old windows, garden art and stained glass.
Please come tour the studio and gardens. Walk through the gardens and see a glimpse of every day life in a violin studio, still adhering to training handed down from violinist to violinist.
The Agape Haus Studio and Garden is #3 on the tour. For more information, feel free to email me at heirloombulbgirl@gmail.com …Or contact the Llano Chamber of Commerce.
Happy Gardening, my friends!
